Degree of Sexual Behavior among Adolescents: A Cross-Sectional Study

Adolescent sexual behavior represents a critical public health concern, as it is closely associated with increased risks of unintended pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and various psychosocial consequences. This study aims to identify and describe the levels of adolescent sexual behavior and to analyze the factors associated with its severity. A cross-sectional quantitative descriptive design was employed, involving 233 adolescents aged 13–18 years. Data were collected using a standardized questionnaire measuring the index of adolescent sexual behavior. Statistical analysis revealed significant relationships between age (p = 0.035), access to knowledge (p = 0.012), and the family system (p = 0.028) with the category of adolescent sexual behavior. Targeted interventions focusing on enhancing digital sexual literacy, empowering adolescents, and strengthening the family’s protective role are essential to promote healthy and responsible sexual behavior among adolescents.
