Jenis-jenis Terapi Komplementer dalam Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan pada Anak Stunting: Scoping Review

Stunting adalah suatu bentuk gangguan pertumbuhan kronis pada anak yang menyebabkan tinggi badan mereka lebih pendek dibandingkan rata-rata anak seusianya. Stunting disebabkan oleh beberapa factor berkontribusi meliputi kekurangan nutrisi atau lingkungan janin yang merugikan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis terapi komplementer dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan pada anak stunting. Artikel dicari dan diakses melalui database PubMed, Cochrane Library, Cinalh, BASE, google scholar serta Garuda. Proses pencarian literatur berhasil mengidentifikasi 2.865 dan diperoleh 19 artikel ilmiah yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dalam kurun waktu sepuluh tahun terakhir (2016-2025). Studi ini menyeleksi artikel full-text yang fokus pada negara Asia, dengan kriteria responden anak berusia < 5 tahun tahun dan memiliki gejala stunting, Studi dari semua jenis penelitian Randomized Controlled Trial dan penelitian Quasi experiments. Bagian terpenting dari seleksi ini adalah meneliti penggunaan terapi komplementer untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan anak stunting. Setiap studi yang lolos harus menyajikan informasi lengkap seperti nama penulis, negara, desain penelitian, usia dan jumlah sampel, populasi, serta jenis terapi komplementer yang diteliti. Terapi komplementer berbasis makanan adalah pendekatan yang paling banyak diterapkan karena efektif, praktis, dan ekonomis. Keberhasilan intervensi ini sangat bergantung pada kondisi masing-masing individu dan memerlukan asesmen yang menyeluruh. Sasaran terapi tidak hanya anak stunting, tetapi juga berbagai gangguan malnutrisi lainnya. Secara klinis, terapi menunjukkan manfaat konsisten dalam perbaikan pertumbuhan dan parameter kesehatan anak. Dengan demikian, pendekatan ini menawarkan solusi holistik asalkan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anak.
