Abstract

Alzheimer merupakan salah satu penyebab utama gangguan fungsi kognitif pada lansia yang ditandai dengan penurunan memori, perhatian, orientasi, dan fungsi eksekutif sehingga berdampak pada menurunnya kemampuan fungsional serta kualitas hidup. Salah satu intervensi nonfarmakologis yang berpotensi meningkatkan fungsi kognitif adalah dual-task training, yaitu latihan yang mengombinasikan aktivitas motorik dan tugas kognitif secara simultan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dual-task training terhadap kemampuan kognitif pada lansia dengan penyakit Alzheimer. Penelitian menggunakan desain studi kasus. Kemampuan kognitif diukur menggunakan Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Protokol dual-task training disusun berdasarkan sintesis tiga penelitian terdahulu dan diberikan selama 8 minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali per minggu. Latihan meliputi aktivitas berjalan, keseimbangan, dan perubahan arah yang dikombinasikan dengan tugas kognitif berupa berhitung, mengingat kata, menyebutkan kategori objek, dan menjawab pertanyaan orientasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis individual pre dan post intervensi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak adanya peningkatan fungsi kognitif pada pasien.
