Upaya Pencegahan Penyakit Stroke pada Lansia

Stroke merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang masih memiliki angka kematian tertinggi di dunia. Gaya hidup dan sosial ekonomi di duga sebagai salah satu faktor terbesar yang menyebabkan terjadinya stroke. Semakin bertambah usia seseorang akan menimbulkan akumulasi plak pada pembuluh darah sehingga risiko terkena stroke semakin besar. Penyakit stroke dapat menyebabkan kecacatan permanen bagi penderitanya akibat gangguan fungsi saraf yang terjadi seperti gangguan penglihatan, bicara pelo, gangguan mobilitas, serta kelumpuhan pada wajah maupun ekstrimitas.Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengatuhan dan skill warga khususnya lansia untuk mencegah penyakit stroke. Metode Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan dan mendemonstrasikan senam anti stroke kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan selama 4 minggu dengan jumlah 20 peserta. Hasil kegiatan setelah dilaksanakannya kegiatan senam anti stroke, responden sudah mengerti tentang pengertian, tujuan, manfaat senam anti stroke dan cara pelaksanaan senam anti stroke. Kader kesehatan dapat mengaktifkan dan meneruskan program senam anti stroke supaya terlaksana secara rutin setiap minggunya.
