Abstract

Penggunaan perangkat berbasis layar (screen-based device/SBD) seperti televisi, tablet, komputer, dan telepon pintar semakin menjadi bagian dari kehidupan anak usia prasekolah. Penggunaan SBD dapat memberikan dampak positif maupun negatif terhadap perkembangan anak, sehingga diperlukan keterlibatan aktif orang tua dalam mengatur dan mengawasi penggunaannya. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman orang tua mengenai peran mereka dalam penggunaan SBD pada anak. Metode yang digunakan berupa edukasi melalui presentasi PowerPoint, pembagian booklet Pedoman Praktis Digital Parenting Efektif, serta sesi diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di TK ABA Samboja dengan melibatkan 60 peserta yang terdiri dari orang tua dan guru. Evaluasi hasil kegiatan didapatkan hampir 90% peserta bertanya dan 90% meningkatkan pemahaman baru mengenai dampak penggunaan SBD, pengaturan waktu layar, serta strategi pendampingan digital yang tepat bagi anak. Edukasi yang diberikan dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan peserta tentang pentingnya pengawasan dan keterlibatan orang tua dalam penggunaan teknologi digital oleh anak usia dini. Dengan demikian, keterlibatan orang tua yang optimal dalam penggunaan SBD dapat membantu memaksimalkan manfaat teknologi sekaligus meminimalkan dampak negatifnya terhadap tumbuh kembang anak.
