Pregnancy is a crucial phase that affects both the physical and mental well-being of mothers. Mental health problems during pregnancy are often underestimated but may have serious consequences for both mothers and child development. Husband support, as part of family and social support, plays an important role in maintaining the mental health of pregnant women; however, studies integrating these three sources of support remain limited. This literature review aimed to comprehensively integrate the relationships between husband support, family support, social support, and the mental health of pregnant women. This literature review followed PRISMA guidelines and included cross-sectional studies published from 2021 to 2026, identified through Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Taylor & Francis. Study quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical appraisal tools. Of 4,970 identified articles, 8 met the inclusion criteria. The review found an association between husband, family, and social support and maternal mental health. Greater support was associated with more stable mental health, lower stress, and reduced risks of anxiety and depression. Conversely, inadequate support was associated with greater psychological burden during pregnancy. Based on the synthesis of the articles analyzed, husband, family, and social support play important roles in reducing the risk of mental health problems among pregnant women. Strengthening interpersonal support networks and community-based health services is recommended to improve maternal mental health during pregnancy.
