Abstract

Digital literacy plays a crucial role in improving educational outcomes and community job readiness in the era of digital transformation. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy levels on learning outcomes and job readiness among productive-age individuals through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Article searches were conducted in BASE, ScienceDirect, PubMed, Scopus, and Consensus databases covering the years 2015–2025 using the keywords “digital literacy,” “educational outcomes,” “learning achievement,” and “work readiness.” Of the 214 articles found, 6 primary articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and quality assessment using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP). The synthesis results indicate that digital literacy has a positive impact on educational outcomes by increasing students’ self-efficacy, learning independence, and critical thinking skills. Furthermore, digital literacy also improves job readiness through mastery of digital employability skills, technology adaptation, and virtual collaboration. The dimensions of information literacy, digital security, and ethical use of technology are the most dominant factors in determining these positive outcomes. These findings confirm that strengthening digital literacy is a fundamental strategy in improving the quality of learning and workforce competitiveness in the technology-based economic era.
