Abstract

Proses menjelang akhir hayat atau End-of-Life (EoL) merupakan hal yang sangat jarang didiskusikan antara pasien, keluarga, dan perawat karena hal ini bersifat sensitif dan sebagian besar menganggapnya tabu. Namun, perawat perlu memahami perasaan dan tingkat kenyamanan individu untuk menentukan cara dan waktu yang tepat untuk mulai mendiskusikan kondisi EoL dan pilihan perawatan yang dapat diambil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat kenyamanan dalam kontemplasi dan mendiskusikan EoL dan pilihan perawatan EoL (EoL care/EoLC). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 175 subjek didapat melalui purposive sampling yang diukur menggunakan kuesioner dan kemudian datanya dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji komparasi Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kontemplasi dan mendiskusikan EoL serta antara kontemplasi dan mendiskusikan pilihan EoL.
